Wells to Holkham and Back is a contemporary abstract mixed media artwork inspired by the varied landscapes of the North Norfolk coast. The walk moves through shifting environments,  from exposed seawall to dark pinewoods, then out again into open dunes and samphire-rich marshland, each with its own texture, light and sense of space.

The composition reflects this progression, layering contrasting elements to evoke the changing character of the journey. Fresh greens and blues suggest growth, air and openness, while muted purples anchor the work with quieter, atmospheric tones. Collage and mixed media techniques build a textured surface that echoes the physicality of the walk: wind across the seawall, the density of the pines, the softness of sand, and the ordered interruption of groynes and beach huts.
